We are self sufficient with water, electricity and ‘toilet pump out’ facilities.
With Wi-fi , ‘Alexa’ and central heating our boat is cosy and welcoming all year round.

Water Babies and Dollymixture
Our boat Dolly Mixture is lovingly cared for and we work very hard to ensure 'she' is comfortable, attractive and mechanically sound and just a little bit 'different' to other hire boats on the canal network.
Water Babies is the oldest Hire Boat company based on the Lancaster Canal, established in 1999 and has its own enviable, private purpose built mooring tucked away in the countryside, so
Private Moorings
Our moorings are private with secure parking for your car. It has CCTV and lighting. The Mooring also provides secure car parking for our guests.
Should you choose to return to the mooring whilst cruising the canal, our guests are given the keys to unlock the gate and use the car to go off and explore the beautiful local countryside.

Our boat Dolly Mixture was built in 2012 by Eurostar to the very highest specification including :

Home from Home
Dolly Mixture really is "Home from Home" and offers spacious and comfortable accommodation, suitable for all ages. She is a 45ft long cruiser stern Narrowboat and has a modern, smooth running beta 38hp diesel engine. Her interior is lined with quality bamboo finished to a high gloss, giving her a light and airy feel. She sleeps up to 4 people, but is probably more suited to an adult couple due to size restraints.
She also has 240v electricity on board for low powered electrical items, plenty of USB sockets for charging iPads or mobile phones etc.
